At this move in the game, you can see him say:

Eshelnah [10k]: from ago, i don't have a game like that ^ ^
Eshelnah [10k]: I realy wanna win this xD

Being Polish, his English wasnt so good. What he meant of course was: "I havent had a game this exciting in a long time. I really want to win!"

As soon as I killed a group of his, he saw he couldnt win, so he said thanks and left quickly.

I feel so sad. I wish I had let him win just so he could've been a little happier today.

I wasnt really thinking at the time of the match. And a stronger player would've killed my running group easily. But we all do the best we can at our level, no?

Shygost is an excellent teacher.

In today's lesson, I learned that he brought on student from 30k to amateur 6 dan in 1.5 years! Now, this guy took 3 lessons a week. Each lesson 3 hours. And he spent more time reviewing the lessons than taking them.

I must start reviewing my lessons using the SmartGo problems mode.

The heart of Go is getting moves for free by forcing your opponent to respond to weaknesses.

The way to find this heart is to look at all the weaknesses on the board and fix yours while threatening his!
