Ramana Laughterishi – Self-Inquiry Through Laughter – the final chapter?

"...behind every particular thought there is a general thought, which is the `I', that is yourself." - http://www.messagefrommasters.com/Life_of_Masters/Ramana-Maharshi/Self-Inquiry.htm

" ... that's the first cause of all suffering: the thought 'I am this body'" - Arunachala Ramana, http://www.AHAM.com

Laughter Psychology (http://www.thequietcenter.org/2010/08/laughter-psychology/) was OK. Laughing as if you had lots of therapy over an issue is OK. But it presumes there is a you as a body. It's a good starting point. The Zen people start here and eventually forget about their body after 6 months of steady practice.

Electromagnetic Pineal Laughter (http://www.thequietcenter.org/2010/08/electromagnetic-pineapple-driven-laughter/) was OK. Laughing to activate your subtle body is OK. But it presumes there is a you as a subtle body. Soul travellers eventually open their third eye and reach god consciousness with the help of the Inner Master.

Self-Inquiry Through Laughter destroys any lingering concept of a separate I, be this "I" subtle or gross. The higher bodies of man (The One Self) are in constant, unconditional bliss. They create worlds through thought purely for enjoyment, never identifying with their creations.

The Self-Inquiry Through Laughter Technique is simple:

Laugh at/with the thought: "I am this body"

End of technique. Told you it was simple.

Have a nice day!
Terrence, the non-separate, ever joyful metaphysician!

Related Teachings:

There are very few related teachings. Most people who laugh are enjoying life as a body in a world with no idea who created them or the world or some theological belief about it.

The serious ones who destroy the tiny self seem to have forgotten that God is Laughing and that any world is Her playground made solely for Her Pleasure.

So to use laughter to destroy the tiny self is a niche market indeed, consisting of exactly one at the moment... haha, but since all is one, I guess that's just about the right number! hohoho!

David Spero - http://www.DavidSpero.org is one of the few people who say: 'a person immersed in consciousness is a first-class citizen' and he draws you directly into an unconditional bliss. Similar to a strong cannabis trip, but you can think your way into avoiding what he offers unlike chemicals, which dont leave until their time is up. He was also the person who I heard say: "This world exists SOLELY for the enjoyment of consciousness" It was around this time that I was at the beach and I saw a little 3 year old get slapped flat and nearly drowned by ocean waves.

Swami Nithyananda offers a laughter CD and says that anyone who can laugh for 30 minutes continuously is enlightened. And then he makes the mistake of having no useful practice to get there. Instead, he says: have someone crack a joke a start laughing. He doesnt say anything about the Laughter Reflex like Annette Goodheart does. Nor does he mention the "Laugh for No Reason" exercises of Laughter Yoga.
