From SFS
Dear List friends,
Today I received news that my dear friend the original moderator of this list, Harry Kight translated sometime this weekend. Spiritual Freedom Satsang has lost a dear and valued member. Though we rejoice in his home-going in the presence of the inner Master, I and SFS will miss him. He was Michaelji’s first and ever strong supporter. It was his poetry that drew me to this list and his love for his Master that drew me to SFS and he was instrumental in my becoming an initiate. For over a year, he was there while I was looking into Light and Sound paths and deciding if I would initiate into a Light and Sound path. He was present when I was initiated. There can be no dearer friend than that.
When I was thinking about what to write as a memorial for him, I could think of nothing better than his own testimony, which he shared in a newsgroup post. Love of God and Master were the center of Harry’s life.
“I was the first to proclaim Sri Michael Turner as my Spiritual Master. I was the first soul to receive Initiation from Him. Anami Lok was opened to all attending His first conference in Tucson. That experience changed my life. Witnesses experienced a three-fold “blast” of pure golden energy centered upon Sri Michael. He paused, and the “blast” engulfed us all.Audio and video recorders ceased to function, so there is no physical record of this astounding (to us) “live moment.” No participant will ever forget that “moment.” This man, Michael Turner, connected us all to Sat Purush in an instant.”
Harry was a poet. In the archives of this list are many poems he shared with us. His love for God and his living Master was apparent in many of them. I will share a few I liked though it is hard to choose:
Guruji
What is That which
Travels outward
From stygian deeps
To bright inward climes?
What is That which
Erupts seeding ashes
To supply fresh green?
What is That which
Moves caskets into new trees?
You.

Tanka
(Note: The following poem is presented using the structured Japanese style known as “Tanka.” For those who are not familiar with this style, it is similar to Haiku— except that the form consists of five lines exhibiting 5,7,5,7,7 syllables, respectively.)
—————————————————————–
He moves a tear’s fall
Onto a rising lightness.
He sees the falling
From compassion’s seated view.
He gives me breath to sing Now.

An Impression from Sunday’s SatChat
Ultimately, We cannot protect Him from the coming jeweled sword of the Old Religion.
Let us give thanks that He is with us, now.
Let us kiss His Feet.
Let us wrap our arms around Him
And prostrate our Love before Him.
He is The Window and The Door Through which we may pass
To God.
As Stevie Wonder might say: “He is the Sunshine of our lives.” © 2000, H.C. Kight
Astral Music
Today is overcast and a drizzling rain dots and streams down the windowpane.
Your coffee mug steams the air as you gaze outward, watching the plants drink their elixir.
A Wonder comes to you.
God is as real as your snuggling robe, and as close as your fuzzy morning slippers.

Laura
Laura, do you have pictures of Harry? Sounds like someone I knew in the 80’s in Tucson & Phoenix. How old was he?
